Chapter President - Rema Rhone

Rema Rhone a Colorado native has been in the Payroll/HR industry for over 30 years.  Rema started her Payroll/HR career as a Human Resources Administrator for an airline repair company in Boulder, Colorado.  Rema was promoted to Human Resources Manager for their Texas location in 1999.  Since moving to Texas, Rema has worked as a Payroll Supervisor, Payroll Administrator holding a current role as a Payroll Manager for a Fort Worth engineering firm.  Rema has had experience with processing multi-state payroll, Payroll/Human Resources implementations, 401K administration, and benefits administration.

Rema has attended the Texas Payroll Conference for several years, member of National APA, Dallas Chapter, and current member and President for Fort Worth Chapter APA.

Personal interests, avid TCU fan (fanatic is an understatement) and grandson’s baseball team.

Chapter Vice President - Dubaliel Estremera, CPP

Dubaliel Estremera, also known as D, is the Payroll Manager for Tarrant County Local Government and the current Fort Worth chapter Vice President. Dubaliel previously held the Fort Worth chapter Government Liaison position from 2018-2019 posting and updating payroll related topics to the chapter’s website. Dubaliel started in payroll in 2000 working for Paychex Inc. where he discovered his passion for payroll and HR. After nearly two decades in the payroll and HR industry he has developed a deep knowledge of taxes, benefits related taxation, and payroll related laws and regulations.  He received his CPP certification in 2012 and holds a BS in Accounting, MS in Leadership and a Human Resource Management certificate from Nova Southeastern University.

Chapter Treasurer - Eileen Korsgaard, CPP

Eileen graduated from Santa Clara University in California with a BS degree in Business Management and a minor in Spanish.  After working in the mortgage industry in loan processing and then employee benefits and briefly working at a restaurant as an office manager, she landed in a payroll position in 1995 and has been hooked ever since.

Eileen continued to advance in her career holding Payroll Supervisor, Payroll Manager, and Payroll Director positions.  She obtained her CPP during this time in 1999. She worked in the PEO and staffing industries and directed a payroll team that processed payroll for over 100,000 employees in almost every state.  She worked part-time and contract positions (simultaneously) in payroll, payroll tax, payroll implementation, benefits, and HR while raising her two boys.  One of her contract positions was doing bookkeeping for a small business.  Eileen went back to work full time in March of 2019 and is currently a Sr. Payroll Specialist at Flagship Facility Services processing payroll weekly and semi-monthly for 1,500 employees.

Eileen has attended the national APA Congress several times and has attended the Texas Payroll Conference for the past 5 years.  She has worked as a volunteer at TPC.  She loves payroll and enjoys mentoring others in the field.  She has been attending Fort Worth Chapter APA meetings for the past 7 years (off and on) and has been serving on the Board as Treasurer since July of 2019.

Chapter Secretary - Gina Butcher, CPP

Gina Butcher, CPP, PHR, SHRM-CP recently completed two years of chapter service as our Secretary.  Having enjoyed a multi-decade career in payroll, she continues to be amazed at how much there is to learn as a payroll professional.  Gina currently supports an assigned book of business as a middle market payroll specialist at Insperity.  Upon moving to Tarrant County in 2004, she was delighted to discover two of the friendliest groups to be found – Fort Worth APA chapter and Friendship Baptist Church in Hurst, TX.  She is passionate about self-improvement, which has led to her payroll and HR certifications.  In Gina’s spare time, she enjoys vegetable gardening and is an ardent Toastmaster.

Chapter Membership Director - Kyla Gaona, CPP

Kyla Gaona, CPP started her career working for her family owned and operated roofing company from 1994 to 1999. Working alongside the companies CPA learning every facet of the entire office from processing payroll manually with a pencil and paper to two DOL audits. She has been in the payroll field for over 25 years. She has processed payrolls for 10 to 6000+ employees and up to 40+ states. Currently she is an HR Payroll Analyst at Olympus Property.

Kyla earned her CPP certification in May 2013. She has been a member and attending the monthly meetings with the Fort Worth Chapter APA for 15 years. She obtained a seat on the Fort Worth Chapter board as Membership Director since 2018.

Chapter Education Director - Lisa Anderson, CPP

Lisa Anderson, CPP began her Payroll career in 1994 while working as HR Manager for a California Security firm. Lisa continued to advance her payroll career, moving through Payroll Clerk, Payroll Supervisor, and Payroll Manager positions. Lisa has worked on multi-state payrolls with employee counts from 2500 to over 120,000. While Lisa has held responsibility for manual tax filing, implementation, all aspects of payroll processes, Shared Services, and management, she found her true passion was education and process redesign while working on the payroll vendor side as Implementation Specialist for ProBusiness, a division of ADP.

Lisa obtained her CPP in 2005 and moved to Dallas for job opportunity where she further honed her skills on process redesign, process implementation, and process documentation and training as Payroll Specialist on Special Projects at Michaels’ Craft Stores Inc. Wanting to expand her knowledge and skills further, Lisa searched for a global payroll opportunity and is currently Global Payroll Manager for CyrusOne Management Services, processing U.S. and International payroll and benefits in five countries.

Lisa became involved in the Dallas Chapter APA, volunteering as instructor and administrator for the payroll classes since 2008, and in 2010, Lisa was presented with the Premier Volunteer award. The passion for payroll and education merged, and Lisa was elected as Education Director for four years, 2011-2014. She then went on to be elected Vice President and then President of the Dallas Chapter APA. In 2019, Lisa moved to the Fort Worth Chapter APA and has been appointed interim Education Director. Lisa has also volunteered for National APA on the Certification Advisory Board and the FPC Item Writing Committee since 2014.
